Travel arrangements for Maltese living abroad
Travel arrangements are being made for eligible voters living abroad to enable them to vote in Malta at the forthcoming Referendum on 11 April 2015.
For this purpose, Air Malta plc will be making available return air tickets at a charge of €70, inclusive of taxes and other charges, to persons who are eligible
to vote in Malta at the forthcoming Referendum. Reservations may be made at the Air Malta call centre on the specific number (+356) 2599 1230 as from
tomorrow 9 March 2015 at 0800 hrs. The centre will be open between Monday and Saturday from 0800 to 2100 hrs and on Sunday from 0800 to 1700 hrs.
Inbound travel to Malta is possible from 6 April to 11 April 2015 and return travel is from 11 April to 19 April 2015 (dates inclusive).
These travel arrangements are available for:
(a) eligible voters, including those married to foreigners, studying, working or undergoing medical treatment abroad; and
(b) their dependants.
A dependant means:
1. the child or step-child of such person under the age of eighteen years;
2. the spouse of such a person.
Persons to whom this directive applies must be eligible voters whose name appears in the Electoral Register published on 26 January 2015.
