How To Apply
ELECTORAL FORMS
An agreement is in place between the Identity Management Office situated at Gattard House in Blata l-Bajda, and the Electoral Office for the former to accept applications (related to citizens’ electoral data) on behalf of the latter. The same information (including the image) which the Identity Management Office captures in order to produce an Identity Card is passed on to the Electoral Office to be used for Election-related purposes, including the publication of the Electoral Registers and the printing of voting documents. In the case of non-Maltese EU nationals persons must call at the Expatriates Unit, Identity Malta Agency, at Valley Road in Msida.
In essence, Maltese citizens applying for the first time (including disenfranchised persons) would be required to fill in and sign the Electoral Forms F1 and F4. Persons applying to change their address details would be required to fill in and sign the Electoral Form 2 [F2]. Persons who apply to change their surname and/or address due to marriage/union would be required to fill in and sign the Electoral Form 2A [F2a]. Persons applying to correct any other information would be required to fill in and sign the Electoral Form 3 [F3].
Non-Maltese EU citizens who are already in possession of an eResidence card and wish to be registered in the European Union Electoral Register so as to eventually vote for MEPs in Malta, would be required to fill in and sign the respective Electoral Form [EMEP].
