PRESS RELEASE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

 

EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT ELECTION – 8TH JUNE, 2024

 

The Electoral Commission notifies that the approximate percentage voting turnout for the Election of Members of the European Parliament and the Local Councils Elections published earlier today was calculated by subtracting the total number of voters who did not collect their Voting Document from the total number of registered voters. Unlike what had been done in the case of the 2019 elections, this time the statistics include all the voters who had cast their vote in the preceding days, to give a more complete picture of the total number of voters who had cast their vote by today at 2.00pm.
