Casual Elections to elect Members of Parliament in the 11th, 10th, 7th and 13th Electoral Divisions

CASUAL ELECTIONS TO ELECT MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT

IN THE 11th, 10th, 7th and 13th ELECTORAL DIVISIONS

H.E. the President of the Republic has commissioned the Electoral Commission to hold two casual elections in the Eleventh Division and a casual election in each of the Tenth, Seventh and Thirteenth Electoral Divisions ceded respectively by Dr Simon Busuttil, Mr David Agius, Mr Robert Arrigo, Dr Beppe Fenech Adami and Dr Marthese Portelli.  The Writ is being published in today’s Government Gazette.  The Electoral Commission therefore notifies that it shall be receiving candidates’ nominations for casual elections to elect Members of Parliament for these electoral divisions.

Eligible candidates who contested the mentioned electoral divisions in the 3rd June, 2017 General Elections and who were not elected may present their nomination form daily from Thursday 15th till Monday the 19th June, 2017, at the Electoral Commission’s Office at Evans Building, Merchants Street, Valletta, between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm.  Nomination forms may be obtained from the Office of the Electoral Commission in Valletta.

The Electoral Commission further notifies that the counting of votes of these casual elections shall take place as from 8.00 am of Wednesday, 21st June, 2017.
