PRESS RELEASE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

CASUAL ELECTION TO ELECT A MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT IN THE NINTH ELECTORAL DISTRICT

Casual Election in the Ninth Electoral District to elect a member of Parliament following the resignation of Hon. Marthese Portelli.

The Electoral Commission notifies that seven nominations were received until the last day allowed for nominations for a casual election for a member of Parliament.

The Electoral Commission notifies that the counting of votes for the Casual Election to fill the seat vacated by Hon. Marthese Portelli, shall take place on Tuesday, 10th March 2020, at the Counting Hall Complex, Naxxar. The counting will begin at 11am.
