GENERAL ELECTION - MAY 2026

 

Persons selected to act as Assistant Electoral Commissioners or

Polling Place Officers

 

The Electoral Commission notifies that the details of the persons selected to act as Assistant Electoral Commissioners or Polling Place Officers (including reserves) during the voting for the General Election, have been officially published in the Government Gazette of 15th May, 2026. 

 

The Electoral Commission notifies those persons serving as Assistant Electoral Commissioners or as Polling Place Officers (including as reserves) on 26th May, 2026, that they shall be able to vote only on Saturday 23rd May, 2026.  The rest of Assistant Electoral Commissioners and Polling Place Officers (including reserves) shall be able to vote only on Tuesday 26th May, 2026, at the Vote Counting Complex in Naxxar if they are registered voters in Malta and at the Government Experimental Farm in Xewkija if they are voters registered under Gozo.  Assistant Electoral Commissioners or Polling Place Officers must attend personally to vote at the indicated place and day and must submit their voting document.  Voting hours shall be from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm without interruption.

 

On no account will these persons be allowed to vote on Saturday, 30th May, 2026, even if they withdraw from their post.
