General Election 2017 - Voting at St Vincent de Paule Residence and at Old People Homes

NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION
 

GENERAL ELECTION – 2017

Voting at St Vincent de Paule Residence, at 30 Homes for the Elderly and at the Gozo General Hospital and Mater Dei, Karen Grech and Mount Carmel Hospitals.

The Electoral Commission notifies that polling day for these institutions are as follows:

St Vincent de Paule Residence and 30 Homes for the Elderly (see schedule) – Saturday, 27th May, 2017

Gozo General Hospital and Mater Dei, Karen Grech and Mount Carmel Hospitals – Thursday, 1st June, 2017.

Voting hours are without interruption from 7.00 am till 10.00 pm.

St Vincent de Paule Residence and 30 Homes for the Elderly:

persons who are registered as voters in these institutions as well as those who are resident (but not registered voters in them) up to 27th May, 2017, shall be able to cast their votes thereat;

family members or others who are in possession of voting documents of persons currently residing at St Vincent de Paule or in the listed Homes should hand them over to the voters by not later than noon of Friday, 26th May, 2017; 

on the 27th May there will be no visiting hours at these institutions.

Gozo General Hospital and Mater Dei, Karen Grech and Mount Carmel Hospitals:

voters who are registered as in-patients recovering in these hospitals as at 6.00 pm of Monday 29th May, 2017, shall vote in the Hospital in which they are recovering on Thursday 1st June, 2017 and not as indicated on their voting document/s.  It is very important that such voters are in possession of their voting document by 31st May.
