General Election 2026 - Voting at St Vincent de Paul, at 34 Homes for the Elderly etc

NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

GENERAL ELECTION – MAY 2026

Voting at St Vincent de Paul, at 34 Homes for the Elderly and at the Gozo General Hospital and Mater Dei (including Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Hospital), Karin Grech and Mount Carmel Hospitals.

The Electoral Commission notifies that polling days for these institutions are as follows:

St Vincent de Paul and 34 Homes for the Elderly (see schedule)

Saturday, 23rd May, 2026;

Gozo General Hospital and Mater Dei, Karin Grech and Mount Carmel Hospitals

• Thursday, 28th May, 2026

Voting hours are without interruption from 7.00 am till 10.00 pm.

St Vincent de Paul and 34 Homes for the Elderly

Persons who are registered as voters in these institutions as well as those who are resident (but not registered voters thereat) up to Saturday 16th May 2026, must cast their votes thereat on 23rd May, 2026.

Family members or other persons who are in possession of voting documents of persons currently residing at St Vincent de Paul or in the listed Homes should hand them over to the voters by not later than noon of Friday, 22nd May, 2026. 

On the 23rd May there will be no visiting hours at these institutions.

Gozo General Hospital and Mater Dei, Karin Grech and Mount Carmel Hospitals

Voters who are registered as in-patients recovering in these hospitals as at 6.00 pm of Monday 25th May, 2026, must vote in the Hospital in which they are recovering on Thursday 28th May, 2026 and not as indicated on their voting document.  It is very important that such voters are in possession of their voting document by 25th May, 2026.
