Casual Election in the Local Council of Ħaż-Żebbuġ - nomination of candidates

 

 

 

The Electoral Commission notifies that it will receive nominations by candidates for the Casual Election to elect a councillor in the Local Council of Ħaż-Żebbuġ (M) after the demise of Councillor Godwin Grech, up to Wednesday 15th January, 2025 at noon. 

 

Candidates may submit their nomination personally at the Electoral Office, In-Naxxar as from next Monday 13th January, up to Wednesday 15th January, 2025, between 10:00am and 12:00 noon, or online through the link  https://electoral.gov.mt/nominations, as from, Monday 13th January at 10:00am up to Wednesday 15th January, 2025 at noon. 

 

Prospective candidates are advised that they must present their Identity Card. In case of illness or being abroad, the nomination form needs to be submitted by a representative of the candidate. The representative must present a power of attorney drawn up exclusively for this purpose and authenticated by a notary public. A deposit of €90 is applicable with every nomination.

 

Nomination forms for prospective candidates may be obtained from the Office of the Electoral Commission during nomination days.
