APPOINTMENT OF THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION
The Attorney General has administered at his Office the oaths of Allegiance to the Constitution and the oaths of Office to the eight members of the Electoral Commission appointed by the President of Malta. The formal notification of their appointment was published in the Government Gazette of 31st August, 2018.
The Commissioners are Mr Mario Callus, Dr Noel Cutajar, Mr Paul Sammut, Mr Salvu Sant, Dr Victor Scerri, Mr Joseph Scicluna, Dr Raymond Zammit and Dr Joseph Zammit Maempel. Their appointment is for a period of three years with effect from 30th August, 2018, under the Chairmanship of the Chief Electoral Commissioner, Mr Joseph Church. The Electoral Commission’s secretary is Mr George Saliba.
