Casual Election in the Local Council of Il-Gudja
Nominations of Candidates
The Electoral Commission notifies that it will receive nominations by candidates for the Casual Election to elect a councillor in the Local Council of Il-Gudja after the demise of Councillor John Mary Calleja, up to Friday 3rd February, 2023 at noon.
Candidates may submit their nomination personally at the Electoral Office at the Counting Complex in Naxxar as from Wednesday 1st February, up to Friday 3rd February, 2023, between 10:00 and 12:00 noon, or online through the link https://electoral.gov.mt/nominations, as from Wednesday, 1st February at 10:00 up to Friday 3rd February, 2023 at noon.
Prospective candidates are advised that they must present their Identity Card. In case of illness or being abroad, the nomination form needs to be submitted by a representative of the candidate. The representative must present a power of attorney drawn up exclusively for this purpose and authenticated by a notary public. A deposit of €90 is applicable with every nomination.
Nomination forms for prospective candidates may be obtained from the Office of the Electoral Commission during nomination days.
