PRESS RELEASE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

 

EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND LOCAL COUNCILS ELECTIONS - 2024

 

Persons selected to act as Assistant Electoral Commissioners or

Polling Place Officers

 

The Electoral Commission notifies that the details of the persons selected to act as Assistant Electoral Commissioners or Polling Place Officers (including reserves) during the voting for the European Parliament and Local Council Elections, have been officially published in the Government Gazette of 10th May, 2024. 

 

The Electoral Commission notifies those persons serving as Assistant Electoral Commissioners or as Polling Place Officers (including as reserves) on 4th June, 2024, that they shall be able to vote only on Saturday 1st June, 2024.  The rest of Assistant Electoral Commissioners and Polling Place Officers (including reserves) shall be able to vote only on Tuesday 4th June, 2024, at the Vote Counting Complex in Naxxar if they are registered voters in Malta and at the Government Experimental Farm in Xewkija if they are voters registered under Gozo.  Assistant Electoral Commissioners or Polling Place Officers must attend personally to vote at the indicated place and day and must submit their voting document/s.  Voting hours shall be from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm without interruption.

 

On no account will these persons be allowed to vote on Saturday, 8th June, 2024, even if they withdraw from their post.
