Casual Election to elect a Member of Parliament in the Ninth electoral division

PRESS RELEASE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

Casual Election to elect a Member of Parliament in the ninth electoral district for the seat vacated after the resignation by the Hon. Leo Brincat.

The Electoral Commissioners notify that up to the deadline allowed for submission of nominations, they have received four nominations:

Nominations submitted:

Grima Clifton, Micallef Emanuel, Saliba Simon and Zammit Alamango Nikita.

The counting of ballot papers shall start at 9.00 a.m. of Tuesday, 11th October, 2016, at the Counting Complex in Naxxar.  Entry shall be restricted to authorized persons.
