NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

APPLICATION FORMS FOR ELECTORAL PURPOSES

The Electoral Commission would like to remind the general public that although the identity cards section has been hived off from the Electoral Office, applications for electoral purposes are still received in conjunction with identity card applications. In fact, both e-ID Card Office at Gattard House, Blata l-Bajda, and the Citizenship Department at Evans Building in Valletta, cater for issue and receipt of electoral forms which are passed on to the Electoral Office for processing and updating of the Electoral Register on a daily basis. Application forms include those from new applicants as well as from those who effect a change of residential address, a change of surname and other minor alterations on their identity cards.

The Electoral Commission also advises that during the current identity cards renewal exercise being undertaken in localities, electoral application forms are also issued and accepted at these localities during the prescribed period of renewal thereat.

However, should a person have any difficulty on voting registration, one is urged to attend at the Electoral Office at Evans Building in Valletta or at its Gozo branch in St Francis Square, Victoria, daily from Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 14:00, Wednesdays also from 15:00 to 18:00 and Saturdays between 07:30 and 11:00.
