IDENTITY CARDS

The Commissioner of Police and the Chief Electoral Commissioner notify that, by means of Legal Notice No. 1 of 2011, identity cards issued after January 2002 which have expired shall remain valid until the 31st of December, 2011.

Therefore, for the purpose of expiry date, unless a Maltese citizen intends to use the I.D. Card as a travel document or any person does not have any personal changes to report, the I.D. Card shall not be substituted.
