NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION
LOCAL COUNCILS' ELECTIONS - MARCH 2005
The Electoral Commission notifies that on the day of the poll persons over seventy years old and those brought on stretchers from hospitals and senior citizens' institutions will not have to wait in the queue during polling hours. This concession will be given without the need of presenting a medical certificate.
2. Sick persons who cannot wait in the queue will be given preference after 1.00 p.m. of the same day on presentation of a medical certificate. Persons who present a Special identity card issued by the National Commission Persons with Disability will be granted the same preference without the need of a medical certificate.
3. KartAnzjan holders who have not attained the age of 70 years will not have to wait in the queue between 1.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m.
4. The Electoral Commission will receive applications from medical doctors, who are not contesting the elections for Local Councils, for the issue of forms which serve as medical certificates for sick persons so that they will not have to wait in the queue during the times indicated above.
On application each medical doctor will be supplied with one hundred numbered forms for perusal as certificates. Extra forms will also be issued as required.
