Identity Cards

The Commissioner of Police and the Chief Electoral Commissioner notify that by means of Legal Notice No. 10 of 2009, identity cards issued after January 2002 which have expired shall remain valid until the 31st of December, 2009.

Therefore, unless a Maltese citizen intends to use the I.D. Card as a travel document or any other person does not have any personal changes to report, the I.D. Card shall not be substituted.
