NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION
GENERAL AND LOCAL COUNCILS’ ELECTIONS

The Electoral Commission notifies all voters in Malta and Gozo whose names are listed in the last published Electoral Register (October, 2007), subject to additions, deletions and corrections ordered by the Revising Officer, that Police officers shall begin delivering voting documents from Tuesday 12th February, 2008.
Delivery shall be made daily, including on Sunday 17th February, until Saturday, 23rd February, 2008, between 8.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. and between 3.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. It is therefore of utmost importance that at the place of residence there shall be a responsible person over 18 years of age to sign for and receive the voting document/s. Electoral law permits political party representatives to accompany police officers during the delivery of voting documents. These representatives may be identified through special cards issued by the Electoral Commission, which cards may be shown upon demand.
The voting document should be kept in a safe place as nobody may vote without it on polling day, Saturday 8th March, 2008.
