General Election Nomination of Candidates

NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

GENERAL ELECTION
8 MARCH 2008

The Electoral Commissioners notify that they will be in attendance at their Office, Evans Building, St. Elmo Square, Valletta, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday 11^th, Tuesday 12^th and Wednesday 13^th February, 2008, to receive nominations by candidates for the forthcoming General Election. Candidates are reminded that they must produce their identity card. If the nomination form is presented by the candidate's representative, the latter must present a power of attorney authenticated by a notary public.

Application forms for prospective candidates may be obtained from the Office of the Electoral Commission, Valletta, as from today and during nomination days.

Objections to nominations will be received by the Commissioners at the Office of the Electoral Commission, Valletta, during the days and office hours established for nominations as well as on Thursday 14^th and Friday 15^th February, 2008, during the same office hours.
