E.P. ELECTIONS: nominations of candidates

NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT ELECTIONS – MAY 2014

The Electoral Commissioners notify that they will be in attendance at their office in Evans Building, St. Elmo Square, Valletta, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm on Tuesday 8th , Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th, April, 2014, to receive nominations by candidates for the forthcoming European Parliament Elections.

Prospective candidates are advised to present their identity card and that the top section of the nomination form should reflect the details of the candidate as shown in the electoral register being published on 7th April, 2014. In case that the nomination form needs to be submitted by a representative of the candidate, the representative must supply a power of attorney authenticated by a notary public.

Application forms for prospective candidates may be downloaded from the Electoral Commission website or may be obtained from the Office of the Electoral Commission as from today and during nomination days.

Objections to nominations shall be received at the same office during the days and hours established for nominations as well as on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th April, 2014, during the same hours.
