NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION
EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEES FOR COMMUNITIES ELECTIONS – MAY 2014
The Electoral Commission notifies Administrators of Old People’s Homes and Hospitals as follows:
The voting document belongs to the person to whom it has been issued and whoever is in illegal possession of a voting document would be committing a crime.
Although no influence should be exercised on the residents/patients of these Homes and Hospitals, Administrators shall ensure that on polling day there should be free access to residents/patients who are to cast their vote as well as to those authorized persons who are to accompany them to the polling places – if the voters themselves prefer so.
On polling day at St. Vincent de Paule Residence and at the Homes for the Elderly (17/05/2014) and at Karen Grech and Mount Carmel Hospitals (22/05/2014) ONLY authorized persons holding the identification tag issued by the Electoral Commission may enter the premises.
