voting at Hospitals
NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION
GENERAL AND LOCAL COUNCILS’ ELECTIONS - 2013
The Electoral Commission notifies that:
- As regards St. Vincent de Paule Residence, voters who are thereat registered as well as all those persons who, until Thursday 28th February, 2013, are residing but not registered as voters thereat, shall vote at the St. Vincent de Paule Residence, on Friday, 8 March, 2013 between 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m.; and
- As regards Mater Dei, Karen Grech Hospital, Mount Carmel and the Gozo General Hospital, all voters who are recovered in one of these hospitals as at 6.00 p.m. of Tuesday, 5th March, 2013, shall also vote on Friday, 8th March, 2013, between 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m. at the respective hospital where they are recovered as at 6.00 p.m. of Tuesday, 5th March, 2013, and NOT as indicated on their voting document/s.
It is very important to note that this provision shall apply even to such voters if they are released after the respective date prior to voting.
On the contrary, however, voters who are recovered after the respective date prior to voting, shall vote on Saturday, 9th March, 2013, between 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m. at the polling place indicated on their voting document/s.
In St. Vincent de Paul Residence, Mount Carmel Hospital and Gozo General Hospital, where there are voters registered as residents, an identification tag is required to be issued in advance by the Electoral Commission should residents/patients voting in these institutions desire family members to assist them from their ward to the voting zone.
