NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION
GENERAL AND LOCAL COUNCILS’ ELECTIONS - 2013
The Electoral Commissioners notify that they will be in attendance at their office in Evans Building, St. Elmo Square, Valletta, and at the Identity Cards Office, 28A St. Francis Square, Rabat, Gozo, from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. on Monday 28th , Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th January, 2013, to receive nominations by candidates for the forthcoming General and Local Councils’ Elections.
Prospective candidates are advised to present their identity card and that the top section of the nomination form should reflect the details of the candidate as shown in the last published electoral register of 12th January, 2013. In case that the nomination form needs to be submitted by a representative of the candidate, the representative must supply a power of attorney authenticated by a notary public.
Application forms for prospective candidates may be obtained from the Office of the Electoral Commission as from today and during nomination days. Objections to nominations shall be received at the same office during the days and hours established for nominations as well as on Thursday 31st January and Friday 1st February, 2013, during the same hours.
