Old People’s Homes & Hospitals: Voting Document belongs to the person whom it has been issued
The Electoral Commission notifies Administrators of Old People’s Homes and Hospitals as follows:
The voting document belongs to the person to whom it has been issued and whoever is in illegal possession of a voting document would be committing a crime.
Although no influence should be exercised on the residents/patients of these Homes and Hospitals, Administrators shall ensure that on polling day there should be free access to residents/patients who are to cast their vote as well as to those authorized persons who are to accompany them to the polling places - if the voters themselves prefer so.
