Delivery of Voting Documents
NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION
Local Councils' Elections - March 2007
The Electoral Commission notifies those persons who reside at, Birgu, Qormi, Siġġiewi, Attard, Birżebbuġa, Floriana, Gżira, Għargħur, Ħamrun, Kerċem, Luqa, Marsaxlokk, Mosta, Munxar, Paola, Qala, Safi, San Lawrenz, Santa Luċija, Swieqi, Xagħra and Żebbuġ (Gozo)and whose name appears in the Electoral Register published in October 2006, that voting documents will be delivered by registered post through Maltapost. Delivery, which will commence on Saturday 27th January and end on Monday 5th February, 2007, shall be made during these hours:
daily during normal delivery hours
additional hours: Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd February between 4.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.
Sunday 4th February, between 8.00 a.m. and 12 noon.
The Electoral Commission also notifies that voting documents shall be delivered only at the address where the voter is registered. This means that requests for redirections, even those already active, shall not be considered in this instance.In case where voting documents are to be collected from Maltapost Retail Outlets, this shall only be effected on a PERSONAL basis and the individual’s identity card must be presented.
It is necessary that at the place of residence there shall be an adult person over 18 years of age who is a relative, and/or resides or works thereat to receive the voting document/s. Such person must present his/her identity card and sign for every voting document received.
