Delivery of Voting Documents
NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION
Local Councils' Elections - March 2006
The Electoral Commission notifies those persons who reside at Mdina, Bormla, Żabbar, Rabat (Gozo), Birkirkara, Fgura, Gudja, Għarb, Għaxaq, Kalkara, Lija, Marsaskala, Mġarr, Msida, Naxxar, Pieta’ Rabat, San Ġwann, Sannat, Sliema, Tarxien, Xgħajra and Mtarfa, and whose name appears in the Electoral Register published in October 2005, that voting documents will be delivered by registered post through Maltapost plc. Delivery, which will commence on Friday 27th January and end on Monday 6th February, 2006, shall be made during these hours:
daily during normal delivery hours
additional hours: Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd February between 4.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.
Sunday 5th February, between 8.00 a.m. and 12 noon.
The Electoral Commission also notifies that voting documents shall be delivered only at the address where the voter is registered. This means that requests for redirections, even those already active, shall not be considered in this instance.In case where voting documents are to be collected from Maltapost Retails Outlets, this shall only be allowed on a personal basis and the individual’s identity card must be presented.
It is necessary that at the place of residence there shall be a person who resides or works thereat and who is over 18 years of age to receive the voting documents.
