NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

ELECTIONS OF ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEES FOR COMMUNITIES
SATURDAY 27 MARCH 2010

The Electoral Commission notifies that on the 27^th March 2010, elections for eight (8) Administrative Committees for Communities shall be held in the following communities: Bubaqra (Iż-Żurrieq), Fleur-De-Lys (Birkirkara), Kappara (San Ġwann), Madliena (Is-Swieqi), Paceville (San Ġiljan), Santa Luċija (Ta’ Kerċem), Xlendi (Il-Munxar), Marsalforn (Iż-Żebbuġ)

The Electoral Commission also notifies those persons who intend to contest the mentioned elections, that if they would like to obtain information regarding the procedures that they are to follow in respect of these elections, they should contact the Electoral Office, Evans Building, St. Elmo Square, Valletta, during office hours.

As these procedures have various deadlines, it would be in the interest of prospective candidates to obtain information as soon as possible before the first day for the receipt of nominations, namely Monday 22^nd February, 2010. Nominations will be received at the Commission’s Office in Valletta and at the ID Cards Office at 28A, St. Francis Square, Victoria, Gozo, from Monday 22^nd till Wednesday 24^th February, 2010, from 9.00 a.m. till noon and from 2.00 p.m. till 5.00 p.m. Applicants must submit the prescribed nomination form duly completed, must deposit 90 euros and must present their identity card. Nomination forms may be obtained from the mentioned offices from today.
