The Office of the Address Registrar within the Electoral Office notifies the residents of:

Triq San Ġużepp, L-Imsida; and

Triq is-Sindku P. Vella, Ħaż-Żebbuġ (M)

that the doors in these streets have been officially assigned new door numbers. The notice has been published in the Government Gazette of 9th June, 2026, and may be viewed on the Office of the Address Registrar’s website (address.gov.mt) under the ‘Latest Publications’ section. Residents are reminded that by law they are obliged to affix the new door number and to remove the old one within 30 calendar days from 9th June, 2026.

CASUAL ELECTIONS TO ELECT A MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

IN THE 3rd, 10th, 5th, 7th, 7th, 10th and 12th ELECTORAL DIVISIONS

H.E. the President of the Republic has commissioned the Electoral Commission to hold casual elections in the Third, Tenth, Fifth, Seventh, Seventh, Tenth and Twelfth Electoral Divisions ceded respectively by Dr Stephen Spiteri, Mr Mark Anthony Sammut, Dr Conrad Borg Manche’, Dr Adrian Delia, Dr Rebekah Borg, Dr Joseph Giglio and Dr Alexander Borg. The Writ is being published in today’s Government Gazette. The Electoral Commission therefore notifies that it shall be receiving candidates’ nominations for casual elections to elect a Member of the House of Representatives for these electoral divisions.

Eligible candidates who contested the mentioned electoral divisions in the 30th May, 2026 General Election and who were not elected may present their nomination form daily from Tuesday 9th till Saturday the 13th June, 2026, at the Electoral Commission’s Office at Ex-Trade Fair Grounds, In-Naxxar, between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm. Online applications may be submitted through the website www.electoral.gov.mt as from 9.00 am of Tuesday 9^th June 2026, till 12.00 pm of Saturday, 13^th June, 2026.

NOTICE BY THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION

GENERAL ELECTION – MAY, 2026

Voting

The Electoral Commission reminds the public that on Saturday, 30th May, 2026, the voting hours are between 7.00 am and 10.00 pm without interruption. Voters are to attend at the polling centre address indicated on their voting document.

Ten voters who are able to vote without assistance are to enter into the Polling Booth for every voter who needs assistance to vote from the Assistant Electoral Commissioners.

The Electoral Commission also notifies that every person who impedes or prevents the free exercise of a voter’s right to vote in these elections shall be guilty of an offence according to Law.

Prohibited use of audio/video equipment

The Electoral Commission notifies that the use of mobile phones, cameras and photographic equipment in polling places is prohibited. Anyone found contravening this regulation maybe guilty of an offence and may be liable on conviction to a fine and/or imprisonment as established in the General Elections Act.
